Nomination Process

​​Nominations include:

  • nomination letter (self-nomination or from your department chair, division chief, or senior UC San Diego faculty member) describing why the nominee merits recognition as an outstanding mentor and how the nominee has contributed to the career success of their diverse mentees;

  • curriculum vitae highlighting the nominee’s mentoring activities and any mentoring awards previously received;

  •  optional supporting letters (limit 2) from previous and current mentees, describing the nominee’s contributions to inclusive mentoring of women and underrepresented minorities with particular attention to formal and informal mentoring activities.

Nominations are now closed for 2023 Health Sciences Faculty Excellence in Mentoring Awards.
