UC San Diego FIRST faculty will be appointed in suitable departments across UC San Diego including Health Sciences (School of Medicine, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science) and general campus (Jacobs School of Engineering, School of Biological Sciences, School of Physical Sciences/Chemistry and Biochemistry, School of Social Sciences and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography).

The selected candidate(s) ​will receive competitive startup packages to support salary and research start-up costs. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor rank in the tenure-track Ladder Rank series.

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, DO, MD/PhD, PhD, PharmD, DrPH or other doctoral degrees in health-related disciplines.

Candidates may not have held a prior tenure-track assistant professor position or received an NIH R01 or R01-equivalent award. ​
