​Core Course Assistance

Assistance in the second-year SOM curriculum is primarily provided by the course faculty.

Preparation for USMLE Step 1

OESS educators are available by appointment to discuss effective study strategies for combining USMLE Step 1 review with mastering second-year curricular material. Performing solidly in second-year core courses typically increases USMLE scores more than sacrificing core course studying to focus specifically on USMLE review.

Subject reviews: If there is sufficient student interest, OESS educators will offer reviews of specific first-year subjects; these reviews typically are scheduled to coordinate with the content of the second-year curriculum.
