Center for Investigations of Health and Education Disparities (CiHED)

Reducing the Social and Economic Gaps in Health and Education

The prevalence of health and educational disparities among various socioeconomic groups in the United States is both undeniable and unacceptably high. The objective of the Center for Investigations of Health and Educational Disparities (CIHED) is to promote and support research for a new understanding of the cultural, environmental, physical, behavioral and biological causes that contribute to health and education disparities in America. These investigations are likely to result in practical interventions that will allow us to reduce the health and educational gaps among various socioeconomic groups in the United States, in particular within the San Diego area and the surrounding community.

The existing health and educational disparities in the U.S. are not only serious social problems, but also major factors contributing to the decline of American competitiveness in the new global economic market. CiHED seeks viable solutions to reduce health, educational, social and economic gaps in the United States. Please help us to achieve this goal by contributing with a donation. Your donation is tax deductible.
