Dr. Daniela Branco is an Assistant Professor at the California Proton Therapy Center and has primary clinical coverage at the California Proton Therapy Center. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Branco is actively involved in various departmental committees, notably the Women in Health Sciences and Social Planning Committee. Her commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity within the field is evident through her participation in these important initiatives.

Dr. Branco is engaged in the education and training of future medical professionals. She plays a vital role in the clinical training of UC San Diego Medical Physics Residents. Additionally, she contributes to the success of the Medical Physics and Medical Residency Didactic Programs.

With a global perspective, Dr. Branco also dedicates her efforts to advancing healthcare beyond borders. She actively contributes to the education of medical physicists in Kenya, sharing her knowledge and expertise to enhance medical practices and improve patient care in underserved areas.

Dr. Branco's research interests revolve around adaptive radiotherapy and the quality improvement of proton therapy planning. Through her innovative research endeavors, she seeks to optimize treatment outcomes and enhance the effectiveness of proton therapy, benefiting patients worldwide.​
