Dr. Nwachukwu is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Radiation Oncology and is an active member of the Breast and Gynecologic Cancer Disease Teams. She is also a member of the RMAS Center of Health Equity Education and Research (CHEER).

A dedicated educator, Dr. Nwachukwu serves as the Associate Program Director (APD) of our Radiation Oncology Residency Program, a role she had at UT Southwestern prior to joining UC San Diego. She has a passion for research with a focus of improving the quality and delivery of radiation therapy in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC) in east Africa. She has published over 25 manuscripts primarily focused on novel radiotherapy approaches in gynecologic cancers, including automated planning and adaptive radiotherapy.
