Research Department and Facilities

MSTP-SURF trainees shadow clinicians and conduct research under the mentorship of biomedical faculty in a wide range of departments, programs, and institutes in the UC San Diego School of Medicine and general campus, as well as nearby institutions. Departments that have mentored our trainees in the past include but are not limited to: Anesthesiology, Bioengineering, Cardiology, Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Infectious Disease, Pediatrics,  Medicine, Neurobiology, Neurological Surgery, Neuroscience, Radiology, Regenerative Medicine, Skaggs School of Pharmacy
