Designed for clinician educator faculty who are new to UC San Diego, the Medical Educator Bootcamp provides an overview of the educational landscape and describes many of the teaching opportunities that exist at the School of Medicine and within the health system. Practical introduction to core teaching skills will also be provided.
This zoom-based program helps new faculty build confidence in the classroom, connect with peers and explore the many opportunities to engage in clinical teaching at UC San Diego. The bootcamp offers tools and strategies to support your success from day one.
This year's focus is on providing feedback to learners. These customized presentations focus on core aspects of delivering effective feedback. And also provide the opportunity for facilitated discussions about barriers and opportunities within their divisions and/or departments. Those interested in having this content delivered at a faculty development session should contact the Office of Faculty Development.
This annual event is designed to support and celebrate faculty who teach in the pre-clinical curriculum. Through interactive sessions, guest speakers and collaborative discussions, participants explore best practices in medical education, innovative teaching strategies and ways to enhance student engagement. Whether you're new to teaching or a seasoned educator, this day offers valuable tools, fresh perspectives and a chance to connect with colleagues across disciplines.
