FIRST TIME AID RECIPIENTS will need to complete the Multi-Year Authorization Form. This form will only need to be completed once during your tenure as a student in the School of Medicine or School or Pharmacy:

publications. The Financial Aid Brochure, which is also included in this section of the web site, explains all processes in greater detail.

Note regarding State Law AB205: the financial aid eligibility of students who are in a state registered domestic partnership or whose custodial parent (parent providing the FAFSA information) is in a state registered domestic partnership may be impacted by this law. Follow the step-by-step guidance below to complete your UCSD Health Sciences Financial Aid Application:
Complete your FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Our FAFSA School Code is
001317. All students applying for aid (need and non-need based aid) are required to complete the FAFSA.
Complete the UCSD Health Sciences Supplemental Financial Aid Application in addition to the FAFSA. This application will be emailed to all incoming SOM and SSPPS students upon acceptance to the program. Students wishing to be considered for need-based institutional grants/scholarships and low interest loans are required to submit the forms for "SchoolBasedAid" as well as all applicable parent Federal Tax Returns, Schedules and W-2 forms. Students wishing to apply for Federal Direct Loans only are required to submit the "DirectLoanOnly" application. The 2020-2021 FAFSA and UCSD Health Sciences Financial Aid Application are due on March 13, 2020.
NOTE: All incoming students who are accepted just before the deadline or thereafter, have four weeks after acceptance to complete and return the application.
After you have successfully submitted your FAFSA and completed the applicable UCSD Health Sciences Supplementary Application Forms, you are now ready to submit your application to the Health Sciences Financial Aid Office.

You may also mail your application to: HSFAO,9500 Gilman Drive MC 0606 San Diego,CA 92023 or hand deliver the forms to our office. We are located in the Medical Education and Telemedicine Building (MET), 2nd Floor, Room 240.
You will be notified of any missing documents via email. Once you are provided a UCSD email address, please be sure to check this regularly as this will be the email address correspondence from our office will be sent to.
Entrance counseling is offered online through
UCSD TritonLink. In addition, the UCSD Health Sciences Financial Aid Office conducts a debt management session for entering students during the week of orientation. Every year, students receive a form with their individual indebtedness to help them keep a record of their debt and to ensure that they are aware of the level of their borrowing. In the final year of school, a debt management session is held to aid students in the repayment of their debt once they have graduated.
