The UC San Diego Division of Global Public Health aims to increase education, skills, and research capacity relating to health issues of global importance. Training and research activities involve faculty, students, fellows, and the community with focus on populations in international settings, U.S. minorities and migrants to the U.S. Students and fellows are provided with unique opportunities to experience clinical and research activities in international settings and diverse communities. Current Global Public Health faculty and fellows have expertise in infectious diseases, border health, drug dependence, migrant health, and health care utilization.
