The UC San Diego Neuropathology clinical service encompasses the full spectrum of diagnostic neuropathology including neurodegenerative, neuro-inflammatory, vascular, and neoplastic pathology in adult and pediatric patients. We work closely with our neurology, neuro-oncology, neuroradiology, and neurosurgical colleagues, and routinely combine the use of histologic analysis, immunohistochemistry, and advanced molecular testing (including but not limited to next generation sequencing and microarray, performed by the UCSD molecular pathology division) for comprehensive diagnosis.
