Continuing Professional Development
We host and offer oppportunities for those in the medical field to maintain competence and learn about new and developing areas in specific medical fields.
Simulation Training Center
The Simulation Training Center (STC) supports professional development and patient safety by providing opportunities for the learning and practice of procedural skills with the use of high-fidelity patient simulators (manikins), and partial task trainers.
Dean's Office
Steven Garfin, MD, is interim dean of University of California San Diego School of Medicine. In this role, he directs the school's educational mission, including the evolution of its curriculum, and provides oversight for all academic and clinical departments and research units.

School of Medicine faculty may propose new pre-clinical and clinical electives for review by the Electives Committee.

Room Scheduling
Room scheduling is now managed by the Division of Medical Education's business office. Online room scheduling is available for spaces in School of Medicine, Jacobs Medical Center in La Jolla and UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest.
