UCSD Health Sciences enjoys a reputation of excellence in both research and clinical service to the community. The Office of Women's Health of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services selected UC San Diego as one of four National Centers of Leadership in Academic Medicine (NCLAM) in 1999.
The Office of Faculty Affairs directs NCLAM which supports junior MD and PhD faculty through their initial years in academic medicine. NCLAM is committed to providing Assistant Professors with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to make the successful transition to academic careers at UC San Diego.
NCLAM is supported by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences.
