The campus Faculty Equity Advisory (FEA) Committee was established in 2008-2009, and is made up of respected faculty members appointed by the deans of their respective divisions to support UC San Diego's efforts in advancing faculty diversity and equity. FEA's provide advice, information, and training to remove barriers to faculty equity. They also work collaboratively with the AVC-Faculty, Diversity, and Engagement (FDE), deans, department chairs, and search committees to identify and encourage best practices for faculty recruitment and retention.
JoAnn Trejo, Ph.D., M.B.A., Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs, and Professor of Pharmacology serves as the Health Sciences representative.
