Coronavirus Pandemic

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Department of Surgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine is delighted to host the 174th Annual Meeting of the Society of Clinical Surgery, November 12-14, 2017. It is our distinct pleasure to host this esteemed gathering and to offer colleagues and friends the opportunity to meet our faculty, tour our campus, and share in the exciting research innovations happening here.

UC San Diego's Department of Surgery is dedicated, fundamentally, to providing the best care possible to our patients, both current and future.  The Society of Clinical Surgery throughout its history has exemplified this same spirit by bringing together nationally recognized, innovative surgeons who, through observation and discourse, help to enhance their own practices as well as that of the host institution.  Your involvement in the meeting will be a great source of inspiration and knowledge to the UC San Diego faculty and trainees who eagerly await your arrival.

We are proud to host this year's activities in the newly completed Jacobs Medical Center, within which resides our Hospital for Advanced Surgery.  At this year's annual meeting, there will be a robust morning of operative clinics and an afternoon of research presentations that highlight the unique activities occurring at UC San Diego and that will surely be sharpened by your insights.  We have also worked diligently to expose you to the wonderful amenities of San Diego and are certain that you and your guests will have a very productive and enjoyable experience.

Again, we are delighted that you are here and look forward to this exciting meeting.
