Dr. Donald Kearns has practiced Pediatric Otolaryngology at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego for over 20 years. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans and completed a residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also completed a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street in London, England. He recently earned the Master of Medical Management degree at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Kearns was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Fraternity at L.S.U. and has been selected yearly in Best Doctors in America since 1996.
His clinical interests are in airway reconstruction, thyroid disease and surgical ergonomics. He has extensively published and lectured nationally and internationally in his field. His current interests are in administrative medicine. He serves as the Interim Surgeon in Chief for the Rady Children’s Specialists Medical Foundation and Assistant Chief Medical Officer for Rady Children’s Hospital.
