Dr. Lance is specialized in reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery with additional training in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery. His research is primarily focused on complex craniofacial disorders in both pediatric and adult patients, including cleft palate and craniosynostosis.  His research in breast is focused primarily in the timing of breast reconstruction and ocoplastic approaches to early breast cancer. He is also active in the study of pediatric breast reconstruction for asymmetry and abnormally large adolescent breast conditions. He is an active member of the Rady Children's Hospital complex sleep disorder team. This multi-specialty team focuses on the study and treatment of obstructive and disordered sleep conditions in the pediatric population.
