Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

About the Fellowship

The MRI Fellowship at the University of California, San Diego is a 12-month clinical fellowship. The MRI fellows gain excellent experience in all aspects of Neuro MRI (including brain, neck, and spine), Body MRI (including liver, enterography, prostate, female pelvis), and MSK MRI. Additionally, there are opportunities for elective time in fetal MRI, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI based on the fellow's interests. The fellows will become familiar with advanced and cutting-edge MR techniques. In addition to clinical and call duties, the fellows are responsible for teaching radiology residents, as well as medical students and visiting fellows. Our educational program is enhanced by numerous subspecialty and multidisciplinary conferences including didactic lecture series, case conferences, and tumor boards.

UC San Diego Health has several clinical care locations in La Jolla and Hillcrest with all subspecialties represented, and is a Level I trauma center, NCI designated cancer center, transplant center, burn center, and tertiary referral center.
