Dr. Sandra Meyers is an Assistant Professor and a member of the La Jolla Medical Physics Team. She is also a member of the Center of Precision Radiation Medicine (CPRM) within the Altman Clinical Translational Research Institute (ACTRI).
She is a research-focused physicist with an interest in applying Knowledge-Based Planning (KBP) techniques to patients undergoing intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy. She is a recipient of a recent Padres Pedal for the Cause Seed Grant focused on KBP in cervical cancer patients undergoing brachytherapy.
Dr. Meyers is a member of multiple Department Committees including the Women in Health Sciences Planning Committee and the RMAS Council, an advisory board to the Chair consisting of Vice-Chairs, Division Directors and elected junior faculty.
