Dr. Hoopes is a Professor and the Medical Director of our 4S Ranch Treatment Facility. He is an active member of multiple RMAS Department Disease Teams including GU and Head/Neck Malignancies and is the Chair of the Department Quality Committee, overseeing all quality/safety programs in the Department including ACR Accreditation.

His research interests include patient involvement in decision making, hypofractionated and stereotactic techniques and radiation safety/quality assurance. His quality assurance work has included time as a site surveyor for the American College of Radiology Practice Accreditation Program, membership on the ASTRO Health Services Research Committee and an appointment to the Radiation Oncology Incident Learning System (RO-ILS), a system designed to share, analyze and learn from radiation incidents worldwide.
