Following completion of his PhD, Dr. Moiseenko did a post-doc fellowship at the National Radiological Protection Board in England. He then moved to Canada and completed medical physics residency at the London Regional Cancer Centre, Ontario. Prior to his recruitment to UCSD, he served as a Senior Medical Physicist at the British Columbia Cancer Agency. He is the Technology Service Chief for Genitourinary and Head/Neck Tumors as well as oversees Protocol, Calibration. Dr. Moiseenko’s research interests include outcomes data analysis, functional imaging, Monte Carlo simulations, propagation of uncertainties associated with radiation therapy and modeling of tumor and normal tissue response to radiation. Dr. Moiseenko is the author of over 90 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and contributor to AAPM task group and AAPM/ASTRO working group reports.
