Applying to the Residency Program

Submission Requirements and Deadlines

To apply for a radiation oncology residency position, you must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) at If you are graduating or have graduated from a U.S. medical school, you must contact your medical school’s student affairs office or other designated dean’s office. Your dean’s office will provide you with the information and the software for ERAS.

Applications submitted through ERAS must include the following:

  1. A minimum of three letters of recommendation from the faculty of your choice
  2. Letter from your medical school dean
  3. Personal statement
  4. Medical school transcript
  5. USMLE board scores

Applications are accepted according to NRMP guidelines. The deadline for sending applications and the required documents is November 2 each year. After this date, no applications or documents will be accepted or reviewed.

Interview Process

Applications will be reviewed by our Faculty Selection Committee once all the requirements listed above have been received by the residency program through ERAS. Interviews are by email invitation only. Invitations to interview are sent through the ERAS post office by email to the applicant’s email address as indicated on the ERAS application. Applicants who have not met our requirements will be notified by email through the ERAS post office email system.

Applicants are individually rotated through a series of interviews with the program director and full-time faculty members. A reception with the faculty and residents will follow.
