Autism Seminar Series

All meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday morning of the month from 8:00–9:00 a.m. at the Child & Adolescent Services Research Center (CASRC) on the 2nd Floor of the Children’s Plaza Building (3665 Kearny Villa Rd., Suite 200N) unless otherwise noted. Meetings will occur on a monthly basis and will include both research and clinical topics.

Target Audience

Medical professionals, nurse practitioners, neurologists, developmental pediatricians, psychiatrists, community practitioners, psychologists, social workers, and behavioral specialists who specialize in autism.

Objectives

  • To provide education regarding diagnosis, course and treatment of children with autism disorders
  • To provide information on the latest research into causes of autism and effective treatment
  • To increase competency in understanding the complex community systems of care for children with ASD and to improve referrals
  • To improve care for children with ASD through development of better understanding of identification and screening for the ASD, and services available for these children and families.
