Alejandro Meruelo MD PhD receives the NIDA–American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Resident Training Award

Alejandro Meruelo, M.D., Ph.D.Alejandro Meruelo, M.D., Ph.D., second year Resident in the UCSD R25 Psychiatry Research Residency Track, was selected to receive the NIDA – American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Resident Training Award in Substance Abuse and Addiction. This prestigious NIDA-AACAP Award will fund Dr. Meruelo’s project, “Academic achievement based on measures of initiation of cannabis use and prior performance: Improving current screening practices.” He will conduct this project under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Tapert, Professor of Psychiatry.
