Steve Koh, MD, MPH, MBA

About

Dr. Koh graduated from Johns Hopkins University and UCSD School of Medicine. He received Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (concentration in Aging and Health Leadership and Management with special area of Mental Health) and Masters in Business Administration (capstone with focus on medical consultative models) from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business. He has had research support and funding at Johns Hopkins Lipid Research Laboratories, Palo Alto VA Hospital, Intramural Program of NIH at National Institute of Aging, UCSD Department of Psychiatry, amongst various others. He has grant support from San Diego County - Work, Education and Training Program, CalREACH, CalSEARCH and California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development. Dr. Koh is Past President of the San Diego Psychiatric Society, Association of Korean American Psychiatrists, and Board of San Diego NAMI, and past representative on the Board of American Psychiatric Association, San Diego County Medical Society, and American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry. Other organizational associations include American Medical Association, California Medical Association, and Group for Advancement of Psychiatry. Dr. Koh was American Psychiatric Association's Instructor for instructors for the DSM 5 and has been involved in DSM 5 development and review process, Member of APA Council on Advocacy and Government Relations and Political Action Committee, and past Chair of APA Early Career Psychiatrists. He was Scientific Program Committee Chair for the APA Annual Meeting in Atlanta 2016 and Vice Chair for the 2017 meeting in San Diego. Dr. Koh’s current clinical interests revolve around patients with cognitive disorders, trauma and stress, co-occurring disorders, and medically complicated patients. His research interests revolve around integrated/collaborative care with primary care, cross-professional training model, mental health systems, outcomes and service implementation projects, and usage of telementalhealth and large data.



Jessica Thackaberry, MD

About

Dr. Thackaberry is a psychiatrist who provides compassionate, knowledgeable care to those seeking general mental health outpatient services and has research interests in helping the underserved and providing community-based mental health services. She has clinical expertise in telemedicine for mental health and, as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry. Her residency training in psychiatry was completed at UC San Diego School of Medicine where she was chief resident in the Neurobehavioral Medicine Unit. She earned her medical degree from University of Washington School of Medicine. Prior to joining UC San Diego Health in 2016, Dr. Thackaberry was a psychiatrist at the San Diego County Psychiatric Hospital and the Imperial Beach Community Health Clinic. She is also a member of many professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, the American Association of Community Psychiatry, and the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine.



Molly Willis PMHNP-BC

About

Molly Willis is a nationally board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing at UCSD’s outpatient adult psychiatric services since 2016. She completed her undergraduate work at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds dual Masters of Science in Nursing degrees: one in Nursing Education (East Carolina University) and the other in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (University of San Diego). Prior to joining UCSD’s Outpatient Psychiatric Services team Ms. Willis worked in multiple inpatient psychiatric settings as a Registered Nurse. Her professional areas of interest include community mental health, telemedicine for mental health, pre-licensure nurse practitioner clinical training programs, and interprofessional development. Currently, she is a member of several professional organizations including the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, as well as Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Elizabeth Sears-Wiley PMHNP-BC

About

Elizabeth Sears-Wiley is board certified PMHNP graduate of the University of San Diego, School of Nursing, having completed her training at the University of California, San Diego Outpatient Services-Hillcrest. Previously she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of California, San Diego as well as a Bachelor of Nursing degree from California State University, San Marcos. Her BSN led her to Sharp Grossmont’s Behavioral Health Services, where she fulfilled various roles within that unit, including charge nurse, night shift council and contributor to patient and employee improvement projects. She is a current member of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Psychiatric Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International.
