The Addictions Special Interest Group (ASIG) is a multidisciplinary consortium of clinicians, educators, researchers and trainees dedicated to the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders. A venture from the UC San Diego Department of Psychiatry, ASIG includes faculty from throughout the School of Medicine, VA San Diego Healthcare System, San Diego State University, and Rady Children's Hospital San Diego. Its mission is to integrate the department's and selected affiliates' clinical, educational and research programs in addictions in a coordinated, cohesive manner so that the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts. Meetings over lunch are held every fourth Thursday of the month in the Biomedical Sciences Building (BSB) Room 2071 at 12:45 PM. Please contact Lindsay Gomez at L2gomez@ucsd.edu for more information.
