Postdoctoral position in Immunology, UC San Diego
A postdoctoral position is currently open in the laboratory of Dr. Wenxian Fu in the Department of Pediatrics, UC San Diego, to study the immune regulation of tissue homeostasis. This research project will aim to study the regulatory mechanisms in autoimmune diseases and cancers.
Highly motivated candidates who have recently received a Ph.D., or expect to receive it within a few months, are encouraged to apply. The hired postdoctoral fellow will be expected to design and conduct the project independently, to write manuscripts and apply for fellowships. Experiences/skills in cellular and molecular immunology, molecular biology (flow cytometry, in vitro immune cell culture, confocal, molecular cloning and gene expression) and in vivo animal studies are strongly preferred. Good communication and writing skills, willingness to collaborate with colleagues within and out of the laboratory is required.
