Here some ways to eat healthy that you can use today!

  • Keep some healthy snacks, like fresh fruit and vegetables, within easy reach. Have them within eyes view so you can't miss them: on the countertop, in the fridge at eye level, or pack a healthy snack for when you're on the go.
  • Drink a lot of fluids throughout the day. Stick to water if possible, or fresh vegetable juice with a little fruit juice, or some other healthy beverage. Stay away from those sweet carbonated beverages that are high in sugar or artificial sweeteners.
  • Control your portion sizes. Use a smaller plate or bowl when eating. A good rule of thumb when dealing with meats is to use the palm of your hand, which is about 3 ounces, and when using oil, your thumb is usually about a tablespoon.
