Salary & Benefits

UCSD Pediatric residents are compensated according to the UCSD Medical Center housestaff salary scale. In support of our residents education and well-being, we also provide residents with educational resources, research grant funds and other benefits listed below.

Educational Support

Complimentary white coat, jacket, scrubs, and laundry service
Program-funded PALS/NRP certification
Reimbursement for USMLE Step 3 and initial medical licensing fees
DEA license paid for by UCSD during training

PGY1	$6,699/month	$80,388/year
PGY2	$6,891/month	$82,695/year
PGY3	$7,127/month	$85,521/year
PGY4	$7,373/month	$88,471/year
