Salary & Benefits

​​UCSD Pediatric residents are compensated according to the UCSD Medical Center housestaff salary scale. In support of our residents education and well-being, we also provide residents with educational resources, research grant funds and other benefits listed below.

Educational Support

  • Complimentary white coat, jacket, scrubs, and laundry service
  • Program-funded PALS/NRP certification
  • Reimbursement for USMLE Step 3 and initial medical licensing fees

Salary (2023-2024)



  • $750 Eduction stipend/year
