Curriculum

During your time as a pediatrics resident you will train primarily at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, the only standalone children's hospital in San Diego, in addition to several other incredible sites including UCSD Jacobs Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, Balboa Naval Medical Center, and so many more. All of our different training sites offer a unique experience and varied patient population, helping to prepare you become the most well-rounded and well-trained pediatrician possible. In addition to these clinical experiences we value the importance of personal growth and career development that takes place outside of the hospital and encourage community-based rotations, global health electives, research opportunities, and individualized electives (let your creativity run wild!). 

We are so excited to share more about our current curriculum with you! However, an important aspect of our program is that we make changes to our curriculum and policies based on real-time feedback from our residents to help continually improve our program, whether this is during our feedback retreats two times per year, inpatient wards committee, housestaff meetings, or one-on-one feedback. We are grateful that our residents are so invested in our program and hope that one day you'll be able to join us in ensuring that our residency is the best it can possibly be for our family of residents.
