Ariel Lee, DO Dr. Lee is excited to join UCSD as a Genetics Fellow. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona's Pediatric Residency program. She attended medical school at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has a longstanding interest in and passion for genetics. Her main interests are neurodevelopmental disorders and rare disease. She has been involved in the autism community for over a decade and has an additional background in ABA and special education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband who is a UCSD Child Psychiatry Fellow, and their daughter. She is also an oil painter with a BA in Art, as well as a musician and a writer. Her long-term goals include continuing to advocate for special needs communities, helping families who are undergoing a diagnostic odyssey, and continuing to expand the knowledge base of the medical genetics field through research and publication.

Laura Forero, MD Dr. Forero trained at Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, and is coming from the University of Connecticut, where she completed her pediatrics residency. Her academic interests include glycogen storage disease, disorders of carbohydrate metabolism, short stature, and obesity syndromes. She enjoys baking, crochet, salsa dancing, and jogging.
