Lindia Willies-Jacobo is a board-certified Pediatrician and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in in the Division of Academic General Pediatrics, Child Development and Community Health. Her professional interests include medical education where she teaches medical students and residents on a variety of topics, including cross-cultural issues in the practice of pediatrics, and the role of implicit bias in the clinical encounter.
Dr. Willies-Jacobo directs many courses at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, and serves as the Assistant Dean for Diversity and Community Partnerships, and Director of the Program in Medical Education Health Equity (PRIME-HEq). Dr. Willies-Jacobo has received numerous teaching and advocacy awards, and is a member of the UC San Diego Academy of Clinician Scholars.
