Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship
The University of California San Diego offers an outstanding ACGME-accredited fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. During the first year of fellowship, the DBP fellow receives intensive clinical training with diverse populations and within various systems of care (e.g., university/children's hospital, health maintenance organization, military health system, early intervention/developmental disabilities services, federally-qualified health care center). During the second and third years of fellowship, the DBP fellow continues to refine clinical skills while focusing on research and scholarly activity. Throughout fellowship, the DBP fellow promotes the developmental and behavioral health of infants, children, adolescents and their families by advancing research, education, evidence-based clinical practice and advocacy for children. The DBP fellow gains expertise in high-prevalence developmental disorders and behavioral problems including: developmental delays, school/learning problems, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, autistic spectrum disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, and regulatory disorders related to feeding, sleeping, elimination and affect.
