The Division of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine Faculty take a special interest in training fellows to have experience in all areas of pediatric respiratory medicine. In addition to teaching while fellows are engaged in clinical rotations, didactic sessions provide more formal training in various aspects of Pediatric Pulmonology.
During bi-weekly case presentations, fellows and faculty members discuss the diagnostic work-up and management of challenging patients. In addition, bi-weekly sessions focusing on pulmonary physiology provide the basis for understanding the pathophysiology underlying childhood respiratory disease.
Finally, fellows participate in the Division of Pediatrics’ Fellow Research Conference. This meeting offers training in numerous aspects of academic medicine as well as the opportunity to network with fellows from outside of the division.
