Irshad A. Hajam, PhD

Irs​had Hajam grew up in Kashmir, and received his PhD degree in immunology with minors in bacteriology and virology from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, India. His PhD dissertation work focused on innate immune pathways to enhance the vaccinal immune responses against infectious viral diseases. 

As a postdoctoral fellow in the Liu Laboratory, he will investigate the mechanisms and potential of microbial PAMPs in the generation of humoral and cellular immunity to S. aureus infection.
