Medical Students

Over 300 students pass through the General Academic Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine Clinic each academic year. Third- and fourth-year medical students from the University of California San Diego rotate throughout our clinic, as well as all specialties on the main Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego campus and UC San Diego’s affiliated satellite clinics. Students from as far away as Japan, Honduras, and Germany come for both clinical experience and research opportunities.

Please be sure to always inform the clerkship coordinator of any changes to your schedule. If you are sick, please contact the clinic directly and the clerkship coordinator. If you arrive at a clinic that has been canceled you should try to find someone else to work with, and if you can’t find anyone then you can use that time as study time.

Outpatient UCSD students will need to have a Pink UCSD Medical Center Badge from the security office while you are at UCSD Medical Center or affiliated clinics. Badges will be available for you to pick up as indicated on your personal outpatient schedule.
