Marcela Castillo investigates long-term effects of iron deficiency anemia, specifically the socioemotional and developmental effects of iron deficiency anemia. She also has interests in the area of domestic violence, the home and neighborhood environment and its influences on behavior and the initiation of drug use among adolescents.
