M-STAR A randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo Controlled to Evaluate Efficacy and Safety of BHV3241 in Patients with MSA (Enrolling)
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a study drug called BHV3241 in comparison to a placebo in patients with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). A study partner/caregiver is required.
Neurodegenerative Disorders Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Biorepository
The UCSD Movement Disorder Center is conducting a study to learn more about Parkinsonian diseases by collecting cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), the fluid that the brain sits in, samples for future research. Non-UCSD patients will first need to be seen at UCSD to confirm the diagnosis and medical history. Participation will include 1 study visit to complete a lumbar puncture.
MJFF Biomarker T-cell mediated autoimmune responses in PD (Enrolling)
The Goal of this study is to define the role of T Cells in Parkinson's Disease through the investigation of T cell reactivity alpha synucle in protein. Participants will be required to come in for one visit to donate 250 mL of blood. This study enrolls patients with Parkinson's Disease and Healthy Volunteers.
MJFF Minority Outreach Project an educational Tool Kit for Hispanic PD Community (Enrolling)
The goal of this study is to develop and perform qualitative interviews with Hispanic PD Patients, their caregivers, and healthcare providers serving Hispanic predominant communities in order identify their perceived barriers related to participating in PD research and their understanding of PD.
Patient Outcomes Project and Patient Registry Study (Enrolling)
The goal of this program is to have a cohort of 500 patients followed at each center, with 200 patient data forms to be submitted within the next twelve months. This observational study only involves PD patients, whose medical history, UPDRS, H&Y, and other data will be collected. Currently enrolling established patients.
PDGENE - Parkinson's Foundation: PDGeneration: Mapping the Future of PD (Enrolling)
This study is focused on assessing the impact, feasibility and participant satisfaction of offering genetic counseling as part of clinical care for people with Parkinson's Disease.
