The Interventional Neurophysiology Service is an academic service within
UC San Diego Medical Center. This is a quaternary care institution that also serves as the primary regional level 1 trauma center, with a catchment of 3 million in San Diego county alone; and an extended catchment between eastern California counties, Tijuana, and Western Arizona of another approximately 4 million. As such there are excellent educational and research opportunities.
Students can also participate in our
active research program.
The UCSD Interventional Neurophysiology Service takes students on a first come, first served basis with the following backgrounds:
- Medical students (senior clinical level/MS4)
- Residents in neurology, anesthesia, and neurosurgery (all levels)
- Fellows in neurophysiology, neuroanesthesia, and neurocritical care
