Currently Enrolling Observational Studies

Research Opportunites by Diagnosis

The Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center has a wide variety of opportunities for volunteers to participate in important research studies designed to discover ways to prevent, treat, and ultimately eradicate Alzheimer’s disease as well as other related neurological diseases. We are recruiting diverse volunteers on an ongoing basis to learn more about memory and aging.

Healthy adults with NO memory concerns - Normal Cognition (NC)

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

Alzheimer's disease (AD)

Young onset Alzheimer's disease (younger than 65 years at onset)

Parkinson's disease

Lewy Body Dementia (LBD)

Frontotemporal & other dementias

Memory concerns NO diagnosis

Many seniors have concerns about their memories and wonder if the changes they are experiencing are normal age-related changes or whether they may be the early signs of a disease process. If you are concerned about your memory and would like to have an assessment please inquire about our free memory screening events.

If you are interested in research participation, the SMADRC includes persons with and without memory loss in our observational longitudinal study listed below. This study will provide detailed feedback about the cognitive status on an annual basis

Downs Syndrome

Research Registry

If you are interested in any of our current studies or you'd like to participate in a study but don't currently see one that is a match for you, join our research registry to be placed on a list for future studies.
