Derek Bangs hails from Tustin, California. He is a recipient of the prestigious UCSD Regents Scholarship Award. Derek is majoring in Microbiology but his true passion is in immunology. When he is not avidly learning everything there is to know about immunology, he enjoys jammin' on the ukelele.
