Clinical Trial to Evaluate and Validate SAMSUNG SpO2 sensing and Obstructive Sleep Apnea detection in the Laboratory and Home Settings

Our research team at UC San Diego is conducting a study to validate sleep measures obtained by a Samsung watch device, a commercial wrist-worn device, compared to a standard sleep study.

Maximum compensation for completing entire study (exercises done over 6 weeks):

$150.00

Qualifications:

  • Age 18-75
  • Healthy, or those with obstructive sleep apnea
  • Non-smoking
  • Non-pregnant

What you may be asked to do during this study:

  • 1 in-clinic overnight visit
  • 2 in-clinic daytime visits
  • Questionnaires
  • Wear a Samsung and/or Phillips watch for 7-14 days at home while you sleep
  • COVID-19 Testing
