Sandip K. Datta

Dr. Datta received his MD with thesis from UC San Francisco. The thesis portion of his work focused in signaling through the B cell receptor with Dr. A. DeFranco. He joined the program in 1996, completing it in 2001 with ABIM certification in internal medicine and infectious disease. He worked with Professor Eyal Raz on signaling via Toll-like receptors. He then became an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego and he is the recipient of a Mentored Clinician Scientist Award from the National Institutes of Health.
