Salaries (2022-2023)

  •  PGY-1 $ 76,297
  • PGY-2 $ 78,515
  • PGY-3 $ 81,232
  • PGY-4 $ 84,069
  • Additional Stipends: $150/month for meals and $750/year for educational expenses


  • Step 3 and Licensing fees reimbursed as a lump sum of $1827.50 during the PGY-2 year
  • $50,000 life insurance plan for residents with $100,000 double indemnity clause
  • Health, dental, vision insurance  for resident and dependents are at no cost
  • Disability and malpractice insurance provided by UC San Diego at no cost
  • Four (4) weeks of paid vacation each year in two 2-week blocks
