During the academic year, Medicine Grand Rounds are presented
Wednesday mornings at 7:30 in the
Liebow Auditorium of the
Biomedical Sciences Building on the UC San Diego School of Medicine campus. The goal of Grand Rounds is to provide needs-based education for physicians and health-care providers in order to enable the optimum provision of health care by improving knowledge, competence, and performance.
Objectives
- Provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of health problems and promotion of health
- Demonstrate the application of scientific methodology to clinical situations
- Know and apply the basic sciences that are appropriate to their discipline
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, and professional associates

provide continuing medical education for physicians and designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
