Medicine Grand Rounds

During the academic year, Medicine Grand Rounds are presented Wednesday mornings at 7:30 in the Liebow Auditorium of the Biomedical Sciences Building on the UC San Diego School of Medicine campus.  The goal of Grand Rounds is to provide needs-based education for physicians and health-care providers in order to enable the optimum provision of health care by improving knowledge, competence, and performance.

Objectives
  • Provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of health problems and promotion of health 
  • Demonstrate the application of scientific methodology to clinical situations 
  • Know and apply the basic sciences that are appropriate to their discipline 
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, and professional associates 

The University of California, San Diego School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to 
provide continuing medical education for physicians and designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. 
Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
