MARC Seminar postponed

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance with university directives and recommendtions from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the MARC Seminar Series has been postponed indefinitely for the remainder of the scheduled 2020 seminars.

These measures are being taken for the health and safety of our speakers and attendees. We are grateful to be a part of this active and vibrant musculoskeletal research community, and we hope to bring the seminar series back to you in the Fall of 2020.

Updates will be posted to this website. If you have any questions, please contact the MARC Coordinator at

Every month, on Tuesdays from 8:30-9:30AM, the MARC will host a seminar in collaboration with the UC San Diego Department of Orthopedics for speakers to present their recent findings and ground breaking developments in the fields of rheumatology and joint pathology.
Speakers will come from a variety of backgrounds, including local academia, non-profit institutes, and biotech companies. Recipients of MARC Pilot Project Grants will also be invited to speak. A list of previous speakers can be found on the next tab, along with the titles of their lectures.
The seminar will be held once a month at the Moores Cancer Center’s Goldberg Auditorium, typically from 8:30-9:30AM. Any changes in the location or time of the seminar will be noted in the announcement and here on the website.
Parking will be available to those with a valid UC Parking pass (either A or B) at the Athena parking structure, which is across the street from the Moores Cancer Center as seen in the map below. MARC members who wish to attend and need a parking pass can e-mail the MARC Coordinator ( at least a week before the seminar date and be e-mailed a day pass for a B-parking space; limit of five passes per seminar.
