The MARC is a Center dedicated to providing resources to investigators in the San Diego area interested in investigating arthritis and the microenvironment of the joint.
Members of the MARC gain access to a wide variety of services provided by the Center’s Resource Cores. These services include flow sorting, even on late notice, laser capture microdissection, MRI imaging for both human and animal joints, biostatistical analysis of large datasets, and consultation services from an experienced and helpful staff. Also, only MARC members will be eligible for MARC Pilot Project Grants and vouchers.
To be eligible for MARC membership, one must hold a faculty or instructor position at one of the member organizations of the MARC: the University of California, San Diego; the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute; the La Jolla Institute for Immunology; or The Scripps Research Institute. Also, the investigator must have at least one active or proposed project focused on joint biology or pathology.
To apply for MARC membership, please send your biosketch (NIH format), along with a brief description of the projects pertaining to joint biology or pathology that you are working on to the MARC Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org. The application will be reviewed by the MARC Center Leadership Committee (CLC). Once a decision has been reached, the MARC Coordinator will contact you with the results.
