In 1975, Dr. Ginsberg came to
The Scripps Research Institute as a postdoctoral fellow and moved his way up to a full professor in the Department of Vascular Biology and the Department of Cell Biology. In 2004, he relocated his laboratory to the University of California, San Diego, where he is a professor of medicine and director of the
Physician-Scientist Training Pathway.
He is the author of more than 300 original scientific publications, largely devoted to the study of cell adhesion mechanisms.
