Dr. Maripat Corr

Dr. Maripat Corr Dr. Maripat Corr is the Rheumatology Fellowship Program Associate Director, and Director of the Animal Genetics Core.

Dr. Corr received her medical degree at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and completed UCSD-based residency and training programs in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Corr has been the recipient of teaching awards at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Corr has served as an international and national peer-reviewer.

The Corr lab utilizes collaborative approaches in translation to expand our knowledge into the nexus of innate and adaptive immunity in perpetuating the destruction of target organs in autoimmune disorders. Our lab has a particular focus on autoimmune and inflammatory joint disease.

Current ongoing projects include:

  • TLR-7 agonists as targeted anti-inflammatory agents in arthritis.
  • Disruption of inflammatory cascades by a novel small molecular weight inhibitor.
